Roasted Radishes with Honey and Butter

This recipe takes radish to another level. These are sweet, crisp, and delicious while taking away that sharp peppery note. I sometimes also shave raw radish that has been soaked in ice water over top to accentuate the contrasting flavors.

 

INGREDIENTS

1 lb. Radish (French Breakfast or Easter Egg)
2 oz. Unsalted Butter
2 oz. Honey
Sea Salt and Freshly Ground Pepper to taste
1 tsp. Fresh Chopped Rosemary (optional)

INGREDIENTS

1 lb. Radish (French Breakfast or Easter Egg)
2 oz. Unsalted Butter
2 oz. Honey

  DIRECTIONS

  1. Wash the radish and dry thoroughly. Cut in half lengthwise.
  2. Melt the butter in the saucepan until bubbling. Add honey and whisk thoroughly.
  3. Put dry radish in the mixing bowl and pour honey-butter mixture over. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Pour everything onto the sheet tray and roast at 375 for 15 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped fresh rosemary if you wish.
