Stay Safe Policy in Response to COVID-19

Employee Management

  • Mandate regular hand washing 
  • Additional handwashing stations installed
  • Hand sanitizers are installed at critical points
  • Disposable gloves and masks worn at harvest, when handling produce or interfacing with visitors
  • Always maintain 6 feet separation for social distancing 

Hands Must Be Washed:

  • Before starting and returning to work
  • After using the restroom
  • After working with organic pesticides
  • After handling trash
  • Before and after eating or smoking
  • After touching or working with animals or animal waste
  • Before putting gloves on
  • Anytime hands can become contaminated, such as when you touch your face, hair, etc.  Before entering the cooler or wash/pack area

Cleaning and Sanitizing

  • Farm equipment/tools like hoes, harvest knives, harvest buckets and other commonly touched tools are cleaned and sanitized before and after each use. 
  • Commonly used items or areas of high touch points are sanitized frequently  

Delivery and Pickup

  • When picking up CSA or Farm Stand products please stay in your vehicle and our staff will load your items
  • If staff isn’t present, please call the farm office 502-222-0602 and we’ll come to you
  • No sampling or food demonstrations are allowed
  • We’re using disposable plastic bags for share distribution and will return to boxes in the future
  • Only essential employees are allowed to leave their vehicle when at the farm.
